Summer is here and the fishing reflects that. Offshore anglers have been catching Dolphin in the 120′ to 150′ range and Kingfish in the 70′ to 80′ range in decent numbers. Tarpon have been moving thru along the beaches, taking flies, live bait, and swimbaits. Calmer weather coming this weekend will likely turn that up a notch. Inshore Seatrout are still around on flats and spoil islands, and the return of seagrass in many areas will help that. Redfish numbers have held up as well, though Snook have been heading out to the inlets and beaches. Baby Tarpon have also been very active in back water areas and canals. Surf anglers have had to endure quite a bit of seaweed this week, but some Snook continue to be caught. Hopefully the forthcoming west winds will rid us of the weed. Good luck out there.
