With the tough weather starting today and going thru the weekend, inshore and the inlets are likely the only viable options. Inshore remains good, with larger Snook having moved inside and taking up residence. With the likely rainfall on the weekend, culverts and relief canals are a solid bet. Shorelines and flats have held fish as well, particularly those closer to the inlets with cleaner water. Live bait and soft plastics are the best bets. This past weekend’s Jake Owens Tournament also had some decent Redfish and Seatrout catches. Sebastian Inlet continues to produce good Snook catches, and the season ends Friday morning, so get your last shots in now for a bit. Plugs and jigs have both been effective. Fort Pierce Inlet has also been good on jigs at night, and the rough weather will likely turn the Tarpon on as well. Good luck out there.
*** Don’t forget the raffles in each store, always a fun shot at a bunch of great stuff. Also some great deals on some fly fishing combos in the Vero location. ***
