Nice conditions over the holiday weekend led to some good fishing inside and out. Offshore, the Kingfish bite has remained steady, and the Mangrove Snapper bite has been really good as well, both in the 70′ to 80′ range. Nearshore, Tarpon continue to provide thrills, as do False Albacore and occasionally some larger Jack Crevalle. The inlets continue to offer up good catch and release Snook fishing, as well as a few Tarpon. Surf anglers are also catching some Snook in the AM as well as a few Spanish Mackerel and Whiting. Spoons and soft plastics work the best on the Snook and Spanish, shrimp and sand fleas on the Whiting. Inshore has dirtied up, but baby Tarpon and Snook have been active on shorelines and relief canals. Good luck out there.
