Offshore anglers are finding it easier to get out with the recent weather, and they’re finding good activity. Kingfish have been active in their normal range of 70′ to 80′ of water, and Dolphin have been found in as close as 50′ of water, with trolled live greenies being the best bet for both. Bottom fishermen have been catching Grouper in the 80′ to 100′ range as well. Snook activity has been good in the inlets, mostly on live bait, and a few more are filtering out onto the beaches, where seaweed has been an issue at times. Soft plastics such as the DOA Bait Buster have accounted or most of the catches. Inshore, the story remains the same, with plenty of Snook around, including some trophy fish, and plenty of bait up and down the IRL. Redfish numbers are still slim, but there are some being caught. Good luck out there.
