Good morning out there. Lobster Mini Season opened this AM and runs thru tomorrow, so ramps will be a bit busier, so be prepared. East winds continue to make things a bit tougher, and the seaweed has made surf fishing all but impossible. Inshore, the water has been clear enough to sight fish, and Redfish have rewarded those putting in the time. Soft plastics and flies have been most effective. Snook and baby Tarpon have also been active early, and recent rains will likely make the culverts and relief canals a good bet. There has been quite a bit of bait in Fort Pierce Inlet, and Snook have been actively feeding on them. Sebastian Inlet has yielded Snook and large Redfish as of late on jigs and live bait. Offshore, Mutton and Mangrove Snapper fishing has been good, though lobster divers may make that difficult the next two days. Kingfish have been active in the 70′ to 80′ range on live greenies, and scattered Sailfish have been active as well. Good luck out there.
