Offshore fishing has been the hot ticket lately, with Dolphin fishing getting top billing. Yesterday saw a 62 lb. and a 54 lb. fish brought in, and good numbers of late have been caught in 80′ to 100′, as well as some being caught in as close as 50′ to 60′ of water. There’s a lot of bait around, from greenies to Pilchards to Sardines, so getting bait hasn’t been an issue. The Kingfish bite in 60′ to 80′ has also been good, again mostly on live bait. Snapper fishing in 80′ to 90′ of water has been keeping bottom fishermen quite busy as well. Inshore, Snook and baby Tarpon have remained active on shorelines and culverts, but it has definitely been better early. Surf fishing has still been fairly quiet, with some Snook being caught, along with Jack Crevalle and Ladyfish. The inlets have been producing some Snook, and Tarpon have been active early and late as well on jigs and plugs. Good luck out there.
