Good morning everyone. We have a truly beautiful stretch of weather right now, perfect for getting out on the water. Offshore, scattered sails have been around, mostly taking live bait, and some decent Kingfish activity in the 70′ to 80′ range has also kept anglers busy. Surf anglers have also enjoyed the calmer conditions, with Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, Jack Crevalle, and the occasional Snook keeping things lively. Spoons and metals have been the most effective. Pompano anglers are also seeing better catches. mostly on sand fleas, clams, and Fish Gum. Snook fishing in the inlets has been a bit slow, but Spanish Mackerel and Bluefish have kept things interesting for those fishing for them. Inshore, Redfish numbers continue to rise, taking mostly soft plastics. Seatrout have also been along the drop offs of spoil islands, taking soft plastics and live shrimp. Some Pompano are also starting to show up in the river as well, mostly taking goofy jigs. Good luck out there.
