Good morning everyone. The last few days of reasonably calm weather has allowed anglers offshore, and they have been rewarded with good catches of Dolphin in 150′ of water, and bottom fishermen have been catching Cobia and some large ( 8 to 10 pound ) Mangrove Snapper along the reef in 60′ to 80′ of water. Snook fishing in the inlets is still solid, but the clear water continues to make live bait the best bet, and Sebastian has also yielded some larger Redfish. In the surf, Snook numbers continue to grow, as some nice fish have been caught of late, mostly on soft plastics, though fly anglers have also been blessed with some nice fish. Tarpon continue to be spotted nearshore as well, though usually not in range from the sand. The Indian River continues to remain clear and sight fishable, with larger Snook continuing to be the best target, as good numbers are on the shorelines and flats. A quiet approach is a necessity, with live bait, soft plastics, and flies resembling Pilchards doing the most work. Decent Seatrout are also still being caught along the spoil islands and on the flats as well. Good luck out there.
