Good morning everyone. Fishing in the Indian River over the last week has improved dramatically, with very good numbers of Redfish on the flats and along the shorelines. Most have been caught on soft plastics or flies. There continues to be some trophy Snook around, mostly on the flats. These are difficult fish to catch, even with live bait, but landing one is the thrill of a lifetime. Seatrout also continue to be caught in good numbers, and Pompano are also prevalent around the inlets and areas like the Wabasso bridge. Surf fishing has been fairly tough due to dirty water, and the upcoming winds will not help. Sebastian Inlet has produced fair numbers of Snook, along with some Bluefish and Spanish Mackerel on spoons and jigs. Offshore has been tough due to rough conditions, which look to continue thru the weekend. Good luck out there.
