Good Morning,
After 2 nice days of low winds and calmer seas, the wind is blowing again and it looks like it’ll blow well into Monday. The Sailfish bite hasn’t been on fire this year but hopefully these north winds will get them chewing if you have a chance to get out there.
Snook fishing inshore has been great this week, Live Shrimp on a jig head or rigged on a J-hook with a split shot has been producing well on the bridges and docks in the Indian and the St. Lucie. Fishing live Shrimp on the docks will also produce a fair amount of Mangrove Snappers, Big Sheepshead, Black Drum and Croakers. Dock light fishing has been ok with most of the Snook being 17″-27″. On the bridges in Stuart however the big Snook are around and with this cold front that is coming it should have them chewing, Flare Hawks and Big Swimbaits will get the bite. Pompano are still thick on Sailfish flats and in the channels near the flats.
