It looks like we’ve got a couple of really nice days in front of us after a period of heavy winds. Offshore has been really tough, with high winds making it hard to get out, and the higher temps keeping the sails from getting really active, but there have been a few Sailfish and a few scattered Dolphin for those willing to brave it. The surf has also been tough, but is starting to calm a bit now, and there have been some Jack Crevalle and Bluefish around. Hopefully the calmer, clearer weather of the next few days will spur on the Pompano fishing. The Indian River has fished pretty well, with solid Seatrout fishing along the drop-offs and deeper shorelines with live bait and soft plastics, and with calmer conditions sight fishing the flats should be productive. Snook have been a bit more active with the warmer temps as well, with some larger fish around to get the heart rate up. Redfish have turned up in better numbers as well, with soft plastics along the shorelines producing best. Hope you get to enjoy the weather on the water the next few days.
