Good morning! There’s been a big influx of freshwater runoff into the river, changing the pattern a bit. Tannic stained water has put a damper on sight fishing, and put the emphasis on fishing outflows and culverts, as well as mangrove shorelines for Snook and baby Tarpon. Smaller lures and flies have been the most productive. Surf fishing has fallen off a bit with the east winds, but there’s still been a pretty good Snook bite early near the inlets and a few other spots, as well as the typical Ladyfish and Jack Crevalle action. Offshore, Kingfish and Sailfish have been active this week, and some larger Dolphin have been caught very deep, 1000′ and more. Bottom fishing continues to be good in fairly close for snapper and Amberjack. Have fun out there!
