The offshore fishing has been good with a few sailfish along the reef, scattered dolphin, and cobia to the north. The bottom fishing has been getting better, Red snapper mini season opened last night at midnight and goes through to Sept. 16, and then another mini season Sept. 21-23. With the bag limit at one per person with no size limit.
The inshore fishing has been good with trout and redfish to the north of the inlet around the spoil islands. Snook have been at the spillways and they also have been caught in the inlet on the outgoing tide on live baits either pilchards, croakers or mullet. Tarpon have been along the beach to the north and in the mouth of the inlet on the outgoing tide as well.
New Sage fly rods have just arrived come in and check them out.
