Good morning, there has not been much activity from offshore over the last few days. There have been reports of scattered catches of dolphin, kingfish and a few sailfish releases. Bottom fishing remains consistent for grouper and snapper on live bait. Our reefs and wrecks are holding good numbers of the bottom dwellers.
Inshore, bluefish and spanish mackerel are still found along the beaches. One angler in yesterday told us that the south jetty was very active with anglers catching some nice spanish mackerel on spoons. There were also some snook caught on the south jetty yesterday morning on live bait. The flats have been very active with trout and snook over the last few days with anglers reporting good catches from all over the lagoon with both live bait and lures.
Why waste time and fuel looking for live bait, when you can buy it from the bait guy, Dave Maxwell. Reserve some bait with him by calling: 772-519-2104.
Stop in and have a look at our rod sale rack. We have a nice selection of rods on sale for you $ave on.
Have a great day, Donald.
