Good morning, while the trolling remains a little slow ,the bottom fishing has been good for grouper and snapper. Scattered dolphin and kingfish can be found offshore with no real concentration of any of the targeted species. Live bait has been the best choice for bottom fishing and can be found along the beach and around the buoys.
Inshore, Captain Scott Crippen guided his charter, Rick Scarborough, Christopher Galavis, and Ken to a good catch of trout and snook yesterday using live bait. Snook fishing has been good on the south jetty overnight with anglers using First Light snook jigs and live bait. The area bridges have been good around the channel edges for snook after sunset. Anglers have been complaining about slime grass scattered in the lagoon, making it difficult to retrieve lures and live bait.
