Good morning, windy weather kept most boats in port over the week end. Reports from last week included yellowfin tuna on the corner up to 90#. Captain Tris Colket of Last Mango charters reported an awesome week of bottom fishing for grouper using live bait on the area wrecks and reefs. A few dolphin were reported last week, but overall trolling for the green critters was a little on the slow side.
Inshore, snook fishing over the week end improved with the windy weather. Reports of snook and tarpon from anglers fishing the south jetty at Ft. Pierce were good with most fish taken on flare jigs. Trout fishing in the lagoon has been good with most reports coming from the north county waters. Waders are still finding some good trout fishing on both sides of the lagoon mostly south around Bear Point and the dock line on the west side.
Stop by our a shop and have a look at the new LIVE TARGET lures. They look life like and are made by Koppers Fishing and Tackle Corp.
