Good morning, Christian Springsteen reported a slam in Chub Cay, Bahamas yesterday fishing aboard the fishing vessel Zues. The fishing along our coast has been decent when the weather permits. Boaters have been reporting catches of dolphin, kingfish, wahoo, sailfish and amberjack along with a mixed bag of bottom dwellers.
Inshore, trout fishing reports have been good over the last few days on live pilchards. Sam Crutchfield reported catches of gator sized trout in various spots around the lagoon yesterday morning. Snook are cruising the flats along with redfish and are taking Mister Twister Exude darts and DOA Cal minnows. Snook fishing from the south jetty was a little slower over night with strong easterly breezes making conditions difficult.
