Good morning, reports of cobia and dolphin kept trickling in from offshore yesterday. Anglers reported from the week end that they found fish scattered along our coast from Vero to Jupiter in 80'-200' with no real concentration of any specie. Kingfish and spanish mackerel were also found in the mix in 55'-80' north of the Jupiter inlet. Bottom fishing remains strong when weather permits. Numerous sea bass and snapper catches have been reported although most of their catches have to be released.
Inshore, Billy Briggs reported catching a 5# flounder from the south jetty in Ft. Pierce on live shrimp yesterday. Trout, snook and redfish continue to dominate the lagoon over the last few days. Geoff Quatraro and James Turner reported catching some trout yesterday on DOA shrimp, green with red glitter color. Bear Point and south on the East side have been producing some good trout and redfish catches. Snook were caught in the turning basin and off the south jetty last night on red tail hawk type jigs and live pinfish.
