Good morning, the windy weather over the week end hampered efforts by fisherman to get offshore and to find a spot or two in the lagoon to fish.
Inshore, snook fishing has been strong in the Ft. Pierce inlet along the south side and in the turning basin. Anglers have found success with live bait and with redtail type jigs. Bluefish, spanish mackerel, ladyfish and pompano are still in the mix for anglers using spoons, live bait and wacky type jigs. This is the time of year when you can expect to find gator trout cruising the flats early in the morning. Live bait and top water lures will get you good results for those gator trout.
