Good morning, very windy weather over the weekend coupled with cold temperatures kept area boats in port. Before the winds, anglers were finding a few cobia, dolphin, kingfish and sailfish scattered across our coastline. Look for similar action to continue later this week as the the weather settles down.
Inshore, weather affected the flats fishing with cooler water temperatures in skinny water. Anglers that fished over the weekend, fished in the deeper water of the inlet, turning basin and the channels of the intracoastal. Mr Choi reported catching a 54" black drum fishing on the south jetty in Ft. Pierce. Bluefish, jack crevalle and pompano are populating the surf, inlet, and the turning basin. Anglers fishing from the catwalk have been catching a few pompano and sandperch on cut shrimp.
Have a great day, Donald.
