Good morning, fishing offshore yesterday under windy conditions was actually good for sailfish and dolphin, for the few boats that went in a choppy sea. David Recor reported they caught 2 dolphin 16-18# and 2 sailfish in 120' fishing south of Ft. Pierce. Captain Taylor Hansen piloted the the crew of the boat Reliance to a catch 3 for 7 sailfish and some dolphin. Fishing 22 miles north of the Fort Pierce inlet in 120'-180'
Inshore, Captain Bruddy Tyson of www.fishverobeach.com reported excellent fishing last week north in the lagoon around the county line. Bruddy put his charters on 20 redfish and at least 30 trout using live shrimp suspended under a cork. Redfish have made their way in to the lagoon lately as the state is trying to reppopulate it with hatchery raised fish.
Have a great day, Donald.
