Good morning, windy weather has made it difficult for area boats to get offshore, but those who have braved the rough sea conditions have found it worth while. The water temperature has been holding steady at 76-77 degrees and the magic number for depth has been 120'-180'. Bonita, blackfin tuna, kingfish and amberjack are numerous in that depth. Anglers can expect to go through many bally-hoo on an offshore excursion including catching plenty of dolphin. Sailfish are also in that same depth range, so if you can get to them you will stay plenty busy.
Inshore, the south jetty at Ft. Pierce has been producing some snapper, flounder and good sized sand perch. Now that the season for snook fishing is closed, the south side of the inlet has heated up a little over the last few days. Bluefish and spanish mackerel haved moved into local waters and can be caught on spoons and got-chas.
The new web site is awesome, but we still have work to do on it. New changes will be added daily, so have a look daily.
Have a great day, Donald.
