Good morning, the offshore fishing scene remained a little slow over the weekend. We heard a little bit from the bottom fishermen about black sea bass on the shallower reefs and a few grouper were caught, but a little on the slow side as well. A few dolphin were caught and a few kingfish were scattered about.
Inshore, the lagoon is productive right now for snook, trout, redfish and jack crevalle. The flats have been active with snook and redfish and plenty of under size trout. Finger mullet still dominate in the inlet and area beaches, were you can find some good action in the surf. Both the north and south jetty have been active with a few tarpon, snook, jack crevalle and redfish.
Have a good day, Kadri.
