Good morning, reports from offshore over the indicated a decent kingfish and dolphin bite. The kingfish could be found on the offshore bar and off Jupiter. The dolphin were found in 150′ straight off Ft. Pierce. There was not a lot of bait around the buoys and the bottom fishing was poor. Near shore the fall mullet run is in full swing and the tarpon along the beach and in the inlet are fully participating.
Inshore, snook trout and redfish have been active north in the lagoon and anglers there have been producing good results around Harbor Branch. The baits of choice this time of year are DOA products like the Terroreyz and Baitbusters. Other lures that have been working well include Mister Twister Exudes and Berkley Gulps. Snook fishing in and around the inlet over the week end was a little on the slow side. With all the finger mullet around the snook have all food around they need.
Mark your calenders for OCTOBER 22ND for the White’s Tackle Inshore Classic Tournament. You will not want to miss out on all the fun.
Have a great day, Donald.
