Good morning, there were not very many reports from offshore yesterday, maybe we will hear something as this Monday progresses. Some bait could be found on the beach yesterday and there were some kingfish mixed in with the bait. Anglers were using live greenies to catch some of those kingfish.
Inshore, the snook fishing slowed a little bit over the week end. Jacks crevalle were in the inlet and anglers on the south jetty were treated to some tackle testing fun. Capt. Geoff Quatraro fishing with Dr. Brian Jacobus in Chokoloskee over the week end caught 1 redfish on a fly and 1 snook on a fly. Geoff told us that the fishing was very slow and the weather steamy, as very little was moving about. Fishing for mangrove snapper is still good on live shrimp along the channel edges and around the areas bridges.
Have a great Monday, Donald.
