Good morning, the trolling offshore the last couple of days have been slow for dolphin. Kingfish can be found on the offshore bar and can be caught on live bait. Danny Baumpker reported a catch of kingfish yesterday to 28#. There are the summer time sailfish to be found offshore scattered about with some frequency. One angler whose name we were not able to secure reported a catch and release of a sailfish in 110′ yesterday. Bottom fishing remains good offshore for grouper, snapper and amberjack. Anglers reported sardines have been producing those bottom fish catches and can be found at the 12 buoy. For those fishing the Ft. Pierce Police Trash Can Tournament, barracuda can be found on the Ft. Pierce Sportfishing Club’s barge reef.
Inshore, trout can be caught on live pigfish. Artificials have been producing a few catches of trout, but the live pigfish is a better bait this time of year. If we finally get some rain over the next few days, look to Taylor Creek for some decent snook action on top water lures and on live bait.
Have a great weekend, Donald.
