Good Morning!!! Well I didn’t hear much from offshore yesterday, but Kadri Benton fished with Rusty Varn and caught a kingfish and a cobia near the High Drop. They were live baiting. Also Dean Nelson and his wife fished north east of the inlet and caught a cobia and released five sailfish!! What a nice catch! The big news from the weekend was the finish in the 4th leg of the BBC billfish tournament in the Bahamas. The Krazy Salts won the tournament with 5 blue marlin!, the Bear Trap finished second with 4 blue marlin and a white marlin, and the Sea Geno IV finished third with 4 blue marlin. The fourth, fifth, and sixth places were all our local boys: the Sea Angel, the Chasin Tail, and the Floridian. Congratulation to all you guys! The weathers looking great for the week! I hear the waters warming up in 90 foot and that’s a good indication that mangrove snappers should be showing up. Good Luck if you go and remember to send in your reports!
