Good morning, windy weather conditions kept boats in port yesterday. We talked to some folks who fished on Wednesday and they reported scattered dolphin fishing from 80′-200′ trolling ballyhoo. Some of the area divers are reporting that the reefs and wrecks offshore are holding plenty of grouper and snapper.
Inshore, windy conditions persisted again yesterday keeping some anglers home. Trout fishing in the lagoon is good now and there are a lot of little trout around. Live shrimp under a rattle cork have been producing good results. We have not heard much about redfish but have received a number of reports that snook fishing has been good under the docks and in the inlet. Soft plastics have been working well with the waders, Berkley Gulp and Exude jerk baits have been your best choice for trout and snook in the skinny water.
Have a great weekend, Donald.
