Good morning, looks like today should be a decent day for some offshore fishing. Yesterday the charter boat Last Mango skippered by Capt. Tris Colket again found some dolphin action. They ended the day with a nice mix of fish, dolphin, kingfish and grouper. Other boats reported finding some dolphin and we are still getting some reports of cobia. One customer yesterday told us of a large migration of bull sharks into our area and reported that there are some cobia around the sharks. Bait is plentiful along the beach and there are kingfish feeding on the bait. There have been some big kingfish caught at the cove in Vero Beach on live bait.
Inshore, One customer had a banner day on sheepshead on the channel markers south of the south bridge. He was using live shrimp to catch a mess of the banded critters. We also heard of some flounder off the south jetty and snook fishing in the inlet is still good on live bait. There seems to be a bumper crop of juvenile trout in the lagoon as everyone is reporting catching them on soft plastics.
Have a good Memorial Day weekend, Donald.
