Good morning, Devin Moberg and crew fished offshore yesterday in windy conditions and reported they caught a single dolphin on a live greenie. Devin reported the water temperature was 74-76 degrees and conditions seemed favorable, but just could not get any cooperation from the fish. He also found plenty of bait on the beach. A mix of greenies, blue runners and spanish mackerel could be found along Ft. Pierce’s north beach.
Inshore, fishing inside backed off a little yesterday for one reason or another. Capt. Scott Crippen fished a charter yesterday morning with mixed results. He guided his anglers to some trout and snook on live bait. Scott also said there are some big snook cruising the lagoon on the flats right now. They had some big ones on and broke them off. Snapper fishing along the channel edges is on the upswing as we approach the summer months.
Have a great weekend, Kadri.
