Good morning, Not many people fished yesterday due to the weather. It was raining early in the morning and windy and just wasn’t very pleasant. Despite the weather conditions the crew of the Floridian set out for a repeat performance of their day before. It would not prove to be as good a day! All of the crew told me it was rough, but the fishing had been so good they had to go back. After a long rough ride over they had trouble marking birds with their radar, so it made it very difficult to zero in on their where the tuna would be located. With out a clean radar picture chasing tuna on the corner is near impossible, however it can be done. They eventually found a flock and made a pass through them. They were rewarded with five rods going down all with nice yellowfin. They landed all five. Those were the only five they caught all day. They weighed forty to fifty pounds.
Good Luck if you venture out this weekend. I’ll be in the everglades Sunday and Monday so if your interested in the fishing down there look for a report next week.
Have a nice weekend,
Geoff
