Good morning, we talked to 2 boaters yesterday who braved those nasty conditions and got 2 entirely different reports from them. One caught some dolphin and the other boater caught nothing. The reason this is interesting is, that we also talked to some divers on Monday that explained they encountered a cold water upwelling, a condition usually found in the summer months. A cold water upwelling would explain the scattered fish. Hopefully these conditions are only temporary.
Inshore, a good snook bite was reported on the south jetty yesterday and we also received some reports of excellent flounder fishing in the lagoon. Mike Bunnell reported a good catch of redfish again in the north lagoon. Mike was using Berkley Gulp products. The weather kept most anglers in port yesterday and reports of some more much needed rain are in the forecast today.
Have a great day and stay dry, Donald.
