Good Morning! I hope everyone had a good weekend. It was an odd weekend for the fact that the fishing seemed to better on this side of the stream instead of the east side. Two boats in particular reported slow fishing on the Bahama bank. Both boats fished there way to Grand Cay and back. They trolled, bottom fished, and one of the boats spearfished, and didn’t have much to show for. As for the boats that fished on this side, it was pretty good. Dolphin and some wahoo filled the fish boxes of most all the boats that fished. It sounded like 120 feet was the hot depth. Trolled lures and lure ballyhoo combinations were the hot ticket to mahi-mahi success!
The inshore fishing reminded pretty productive over the weekend despite the full moon and clear skies Saturday night. The water has warmed up comfortable enough to get the trout to strike a topwater plug. Scott caught a nice six pound trout Saturday evening on a MirrOlure He Dog.
