Good morning,
The conditions got better throughout the weekend and we had decent sea conditions. Offshore there was a nice clean swell with mild winds. I spoke to several guys yesterday who fished and most caught some smaller dolphin, kingfish, and a sailfish or two. The amberjacks are thick on the bottom, as are the red snappers and groupers. The Bahamas fishing has started to turn on with blue and white marlin being the target of choice.
Inshore has really improved. There are plenty of snook in the 15-20 pound class making there way into the shallows. The trout fishing has gotten really good (as far as big spring fish go). We have been catching some really good fish in 2′ of water on jerk baits. Redfish are still pretty thick, although most of the large schools have broken up. This is usually a good thing being that it’s easier to feed smaller groups (twos and threes). The nighttime snook fishing in the inlet has still been great as well.
Go get em’, looks like pretty weather for a while!
