Good morning, not many boats fished offshore yesterday due to the epic ground swell and windy conditions. The charter boat Floridian with Captain Glen Cameron released 2 for 2 sailfish and captured a dozen dolphin in 160′ along an edge.
Inshore, the inlet at Ft. Pierce slowed down a bit due to warmer water conditions. The snook bit last week when the water temperature was around 69-70 degrees. Spanish mackerel and bluefish can be caught at the south jetty at Ft. Pierce. The trout fishing was good yesterday on the sheltered side of the islands north in the lagoon. Cotee jigs both in the chartreuse and root beer colors worked best. The inlet at Sebastian was a good spot to be over the weekend, anglers there were catching snook, tarpon, redfish and flounder using live mullet and shrimp.
Thank you for sending us your hunting and fishing photos. Keep up the good work and we will be sure to post them on our web site.
Have an awesome day, Donald.
