Good morning, yesterday was a blow out for offshore. Today is that transition day with some nice weather today and a good forecast for the weekend. The south jetty was the place to be yesterday. Anglers there were hauling in the redfish using live mullet. Some spanish mackerel were caught there as well. Snook fisherman caught fish last night from the jetty on flair hawks many of them in the slot. Back in the lagoon early morning reports indicated some good trout and snook action. We have also heard of some good redfish catches north in the lagoon. One angler told me south on the west side along the dock line there has been some good trout and snook action around the mullet schools. The mullet schools can provide anglers with some fun action with the jacks as well.
The Third Annual Inshore Classic Tournament is this Saturday with the captains meeting tonight at Cobb’s Landing there are still a couple of spots open for entry.
