Good Morning, The ocean has begun to lay down, and a few boats have made it offshore today. Hope I have a report to share with you on Monday. As for the river things have begun to happen. Redfish, trout, flounder, and snook were the talk yesterday. Redfish and close to slot size snook were caught on the flats using topwater plugs like the MirrOlure she dog and the Rapala skitter walk. It seemed the fishing to the north was the best but I’d had heard things about tarpon and snook to the south yesterday as well.
As for the deeper water around the jetty and turning basin, snook and tarpon were the talk there as well. Snook were caught in the turning basin last night on live bait, like mullet and croacker. Snook and Tarpon were caught at the south jetty using redtail hawks and large Bomber plugs respectfully. Chartreuse being the best color for both.
Good Luck this weekend!
