Good morning,
Things are looking up. Bait on the beach (macks, bonitas, runners, threadfins, pilchards, etc….), kingfish on the inshore and offshore reefs, dolphin and sailfish offshore, swordfish biting to the South, and tunas on the corner!!! Looks like great weather so get busy. I ran the beach yesterday and found plenty of life including hammerheads, tarpon, cobia, and bonitas.
Inshore has been o.k. as well. There is a lot of bait in the river and a fair share of fish, but the heat by 10 am is brutal. Should be a good time to start light thackle and fly fishing at night for snook!
Here is a link to a redfish video we filmed in Mosquito Lagoon on Wednsday. Tons of fish! Most were in the low to mid twenty inch range but we saw some big ones that didn’t want to be on video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RY8Xsy_Vuxw
Have a great day and a greater weekend!
