Good morning, from offshore yesterday, we heard of some dolphin in about 85 feet of water. You can find those summer time sailfish scattered along the reefs and bottom fishing for mangrove and mutton snapper has been good as well. Near shore there are bait pods along our beaches and with the bait pods you can find tarpon and kingfish. The north beach and the cove have been producing catches of both tarpon and kingfish.
Inshore, snook can be found off the south jetty. Kadri Benton reported a nice catch of trout last evening on rainbow trout and copper crush colored DOA CAL minnows. Mangrove snapper can be found along the channel edges along with mutton snapper. you will want to get out early or fish late in the afternoon to beat this record breaking heat.
Have a great day, Donald!
