Good morning, we are getting reports that snook have been caught at the the boils on crabs off the nuclear power plant. We have also heard of some kingfish along the beaches. Dolphin have been scattered at best, you may find some in 100 feet or fish out to 4000 feet to find them. There has been plenty of bait on the beach as well. No matter what, you will want to get out early over the weekend to beat the afternoon thunderstorms.
Inshore, yesterday redfish were caught north around the Harbor Branch area on soft plastics like cotee jigs and doa cal minnows. Mangrove snapper are in the inlet and around the entrance to the channel at Harbor Branch. There have been some decent trout reports scattered all over the river. Snook provide some great action this time of year at the waterfall at Taylor Creek.
Have a great weekend, Kadri.
