Good morning, the big news from offshore yesterday was that the dolphin have finally arrived in some better numbers. We heard of one boat that caught 27 dolphin up to 30 pounds in 200 feet. Other reports indicated a strong dolphin bite along the coast. Amberjacks can be found on area reefs and on the wrecks and snapper and grouper are also on the prowl.
Inshore, the mangrove snapper are beginning to move in to the lagoon, you can find them along the channel edges both in the inlet and the intracoastal waterway. Trout fishing remains constant but you need to get out early before it gets real hot. Some snook catch and release action can be found as well with live bait producing good numbers. Keep in mind the light of the moon provides opportunity for some great night time action as well.
Have a great Memorial Day weekend, Donald.
