Good Morning, I finally received a solid report for the corner. My good friend Dale ran toward the 120 mile buoy on Wednesday and had a phenomenal trip! The trip started with finding the yellowfins on Wednesday afternoon. The caught 5 yellowfins from 75 pounds to close to 100 pounds and lost 5 more because they weren’t ready!! They lost a 125 pound plus yellowfin at the boat that drug the gaff man overboard!!! It broke the line, the lost the gaff, they lost the gaff man, but worst of all they lost a 125+ pound yellowfin. They also caught 5 big dolphin!! They spent the night drifting around the area waiting for the sun to rise. When it did the were looking for the yellowfins but all the could find were the blackfins. After spending some time looking around they went in search of them. They were only reward with more dolphin, but later in the morning the hooked a white marlin which they caught. Then alittle while later they caught a sailfish. Then after thinking about the possibility of catching a billfish slam they had a blue marlin in the spread! It was trying to eat a dolphin they had just hooked. The blue one greyhound off like it was hooked, but to there disappointment it had spit the dolphin and was never hooked.
Good luck this weekend!
