Good Morning, This spring bite of Gator Trout is officially under way. Yesterday Mike Bunnell reported a catch of a Trout approximately 14# on a DOA Cal Minnow. I heard reports of some larger Trout on top water plugs yesterday as well. If you are looking to catch a monster size Trout this is the time of year to do it. Early morning hours are best so be sure to be on the flats at dawn. Blue fish are still being caught on spoons at the south jetty in Ft. Pierce. Eric Hedal reported a catch of 12 Snook at the spillway on Taylor Creek also caught on DOA Cal Minnows. Capt. Bruddy Tyson of Fish Vero Beach Charters reported a catch of of some Redfish and Trout in the A. M. yesterday as well. You can contact him @ fishverobeach.com.
Have a terrific weekend, Donald.
