Yesterday will be a day that is going to be talked about for a long time. It was as spectacular a day of sailfishing as I can remember for close to five years. And as I remember that incredible fishing took place in the same place as it did yesterday.
Everyone on the docks were so excited last night it was hard to get particular about the day, but I did get most of the numbers of who caught what. I’ll start by saying these numbers are only what I was told, so not all may be 100%. The Last Mango, Tris had 6 for 13 bites. The Big Dog, caught 8 for 15. The LoQueSea caught 9. The Reliance caught 13 for 25. The Reel Estate caught 20 for 25. The Floridian caught 25! Incredible! The action all took place around the 43270 line, just south of the inlet, in 120-150 feet of water.
There were a few boats that went today so we will see if that old saying, " you should have been here yesterday", holds true.
