Good Morning,
I know the sailfish tournaments are over but, but the action is just as good. The crew of the Reliance captained by the owner Kelly Hill crushed the sails yesterday! They managed to catch and release 15 sailfish. Taylor Hansen, who was the mate yesterday, told me last night that they probably saw 25 sails in total. In addition to the great sailfishing, they also caught a "box load" of gaffer dolphins. All the action on the Reliance took place in 180 feet of water just north of the Ft. Pierce inlet. The Boneshaker was also out there yesterday. They were fishing just south of the Reliance in the same depth. They were successful at catching 10.
The next report I got was from my friend Jared who was fishing in his boat out of Stuart. He fished to the south off Jupiter and caught twenty or so dolphin. One of which was over twenty pounds! They had one sailfish come to the squid chain, but it was the only one they saw. It goes to show that the fish are pushing to the south, and if you can head them off you could see some great fishing.
Good Luck and happy holidays
Geoff
