Good morning,
The beach is ALIVE!!! The mullet are coming through in giant schools down the coast and with them, PREDATORS! Look for numerous tarpon, snook, gigantic jacks, kingfish, bluefish, cobia, etc., etc. to be around the schools. Most of the bait will be in the surf line so don’t go out too far. Farther out, the king-fishing is still steady on the reef. There have been several nice dolphin caught this week and a handful of sailfsih. The mangrove sapper bite has been pretty consistent on the bottom in both 50 and 80′. To the South the swordfish bite has been pretty hot! I haven’t spoke with anyone who has gone out of here but I can only imagine it’s been good. Geoff is going tonight and tomorrow night so we’ll keep you posted.
Inshore, the snook are angry. There has been a great snook bite from Stuart to Vero, and will only improve as the mullet keep pouring in the inlet. The red-fishing has got a little better this week. I still haven’t seen any large schools of reds, although some guys are picking away at them. There have also been some nice trout caught in the last few days, and some tarpon roaming the flats.
The fishing is really picking up so don’t miss out! Have a great weekend!!!
