Good Morning, Offshore reports are trickling in from over the weekend. There is still plenty of bait along the beach and around the buoys. Tommy and Sabina Eckel caught a Sailfish yesterday on a trolled Ballyhoo. We are getting reports now that Sailfish are showing up along the East Coast from New Smyrna to the north and south around the Stuart area. There have been some Kingfish caught in local waters using live bait. We have heard of some Spanish Mackerel along the beaches.
The big news inshore is still about the Snook fishing along the beaches, from Sebastian Inlet down to the Stuart Inlet. The north jetty at Ft. Pierce inlet has held plenty of Snook activity. The key to fishing there is to be there at first light using live bait or your favorite lure. The DOA Baitbuster is a good choice. We have received reports of some excellent Trout fishing both north and south of the inlet in the lagoon. One report from over the weekend had an angler who wishes to remain anonymous, caught a number of Trout south near midway road using a Big-Fish gold color C-Shrimp.
Have a great day, Donald.
