Good morning,
Break out the surfboards, a great swell is on the way. Bad news for those of you wanting to get offshore!!! This looks more like a winter time marine forecast than an August one. Anyway, still pretty decent fishing offshore as of Monday. Plenty of shots at sailfish, hit or miss dolphin fishing, plenty of wahoo to the South, cobias on the reef and beach, etc. etc. It looks fish-able through about Thursday maybe a.m. Friday and then getting pretty lumped up for the weekend.
Inshore, we are still getting reports of some sizable trout from both North and South. Mark Castlow of Dragonfly Boatworks reported some nice redfish action in the Vero area. It sounds like some of the fish up that way are in the over-sized to 36" mark. There are still plenty of Mangrove Snapper in the river with small pilchards, maharas, and pinfish being the best baits.
Get out while you can! Have a great day.
