Good morning,
This weekend was pretty decent fishing for most. Some cold water pushed onto the coast on Saturday and slowed the beach fishing. As it usually happens, the cool water forces the bait offshore and kills the close bite. Out a ways, thee were some decent dolphin catches. I didn’t hear of any giants, but there were some nice fish in the twenty pound class caught. There are still plenty of sailfish scattered about so keep your eyes on your teasers. I talked with Scott Fawcett on the Boneshaker over the weekend and he went across last week and found good fishing. They were 1 out of 2 on blue marlin, had 8 yellowfins (the largest around 80 #’s) and some nice gaffer dolphins.
Inshore, T.J. Keifer fished to the South over the weekend and caught plenty of redfish. Most fish were upper slot size and were all caught on Berkley Gulp shrimp. Another customer caught a pile of reds in the Bear Point vicinity.
Have a good week!
