Good morning,
Offshore yesterday turned out to be a good for folks out fishing. We received reports of Cobia in 80′ of water, Some more decent Sailfish action in 150′ of water with a few Dolphin thrown into the mixed bag of catches. The Kingfish action near shore is beginning to heat up with lots of Greenies both on the beach and starting to filter into the inlet. We are getting some good reports on the bottom fishing for Snapper, Mangroves are on the reef and in deeper water some good catches of Genuine Reds can be found.
Inshore, with the Greenies showing up in the inlet, some good Tarpon fishing at the mouth of the inlet can be had. The Tarpon bite has been happening just at dark on the north side of the inlet. One angler told me this morning that last night on the south jetty Bluerunners were in there feeding on schools of glass minnows. The Snook fishing at Taylor creek has been red hot again, fishing from the mouth of the creek all the way back to the spillway, DOA TERROR-EYZ have been producing good results. Fishing for Snook and Trout has been very good in the lagoon, one report from this morning had one angler catching plenty of Snook alongthe dock line towards the south on DOA Jerk shads in the copper crush color. The Trout fishing near Midway road has still been very good.
Have a great day and try to get out and get in on some the great fishing the area has to offer, Donald.
